Health, Safety and Environment in NCE has the overall purpose to ensure our factories, construction and service have the support to ensure all employee come home safely. In scope also to decrease the overall impact on the Environment from our activities. We are looking for a Head of Construction HSE supporting on-site activities in the region.
The position is based in Denmark, Hamburg, Malmø or Warrington and will report directly to the Head of HSE in NCE
- Demonstrate visible HSE Leadership, coach and support the Construction business and collaborate across other Functions with the objective of cultivating a mature, risk based HSE culture.
- Support in the development and execution of strategic HSE programs and processes throughout Construction NCE
- Promote the execution of Vestas NCE HSE program and align with global and Regional HSE systems and Frameworks within NCE Construction
- Continually assess emerging HSE risks and control effectiveness across Construction facilitating proactive action
- Establish and ensure a consistent and aligned approach and implementation of HSE systems across Construction
- Lead a team of Construction HSE resources to ensure a proactive HSE culture throughout the value chain
- Monitor performance & compliance throughout Construction, intervening and stop processes or actions in NCE, where the level of HSE is below the standard required
- Bachelor's Degree in HSE or engineering curriculum being in compliance with local legal requirements
- Minimum of +5 years of management / supervision experience on a leadership level
- Experienced Auditor for ISO 14001 & 45001 standard – practitioner
- Expertise in hazard jobsite assessment/analysis/solution, risk assessments, incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in contractor/subcontractor HSE management
Competencies
- Experience in managing and influencing a team of HSE resources and cross-functional leaders in a large, multinational organizations Experience in Civil Works/construction (project-based approach)
- Experienced in process deployment (BPMS) in complex organizations
- Substantial experience of data analysis, having knowledge of relevant tools and methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to establish, implement and manage HSE best practices and programs
- Customer focus, effective problem-solving capabilities, strong collaborator and cultural sensitivity skills
- Able to communicate across all Construction levels to align expectations, engage the organization, monitor results and establish solutions
- Must have a sense of urgency for change and improvement and a proactive approach to HSE Risk management
