Training Administrator [South Africa]


 

Applications are invited for the Training Administrator position to be based in Stellenbosch. This will be a hybrid position with travel to our office in Stellenbosch for a minimum of 3 days. This position will report to the Training Manager.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Training Administrator will be responsible for promoting skills development within the organisation, analysing training needs to create an organisation Training Plan, coordinating training initiatives and project-based activities, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, administering the Learning Management Systems (LMS), maintaining training records, and providing accurate reporting and analysis for continuous improvement.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • Skills Planning

o Assist with Learning pathway design and implementation (in conjunction with HR and Operational teams).

o Support with the Group Training Needs Analysis and consolidation of needs to create a Group Training Plan.

o Identify training needs and trends from the Group Training Plan.

o Proactive coordination and scheduling of key national initiatives.

o Coordinate and consolidate skills development candidate nominations and registrations.

  • Skills Development

o Promote skills development within the organisation.

o Ensure that employees, trainers, and providers follow established guidelines, policies, and procedures.

o Administer and support learners on the Learning Management System and related platforms.

o Compile and testing of learning content and systems.

o Coordinate, monitor, support and facilitate training interventions and related resources.

o Quality assures external learning resources and programmes.

o Problem-solve issues and take appropriate corrective action as per established practices and procedures.

o Establish SETA relationship and investigate funding opportunities.

o Keep track of levy payments within the group.

o Uphold partnership agreements with relevant internal customers and suppliers.

o Support and partake in relevant MOS-meetings as per Herotel guidelines.

  • Skills development monitoring and reporting

o Create and maintain training records and documents (i.e. registration forms, online attendance registers, online feedback and evaluation forms).

o Provide timeous and accurate reporting on all learning interventions.

o Consolidate and assess programme feedback for group trends analysis.

o Identify trends and suggest improvement plans.

o Capture and store relevant information and documentation for training initiatives as per the established procedures.

o Quality assures monthly Group raining reports.

o Consolidate and compile the annual group training report in preparation for the annual WSP/ATR submissions to the SETA.

o Keep meeting minutes for all relevant Learning and Development meetings.

o Maintain a register of implemented procedures and communicate upcoming review dates to the Training Manager and related members.

Key Outputs:

  • Identified training needs and trends, ensuring relevant and impactful learning interventions.
  • Created a Group Training Plan by analysing and consolidating training needs.
  • Coordinated and scheduled National initiatives and project-based activities, ensuring proactive organisation and smooth execution.
  • Administered and provided support on the Learner Management System and related platforms.
    Well-maintained and accurate training records, reports and related documentation.

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills: -


Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' working experience as coordinator, facilitator, skills development facilitator, project manager, programme manager or similar role in a large company.
  • Knowledge of SETAs and relevant Skills Development Legislation in South Africa.
  • Proven experience working with Learner Management Systems or scheduling systems will be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a telecommunications or technology company preferred.

  • Knowledge of South African Skills Development Legislation.

  • Computer literate, proficient in MS office and skilled in Excel (Smartsheet would be advantageous).

  • Resilient and able to work under pressure and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Qualifications in any of the following fields will be considered: Education, ETDP, Industrial Psychology, HR or related fields.
  • Additional certificates in Learning & Development, Project Management, Administration, or related skills will be an advantage.
